Peace Power was founded in Grande Prairie in 2012, and provides electricity, natural gas, and high-speed internet services throughout the province with a focus on the Peace Region and northern Alberta, including Edmonton and Calgary. Service with us allows residents and businesses to save money on their utility bills and give back to the local community at the same time through our commitment of donating 20% of yearly profits to local community initiatives. How can we possibly have lower rates and admin fees than the big retailers you ask? As a small company our overhead costs are very low. Further, we are content with a small profit margin. So what does this mean? It means you save and your community gains!

ABOUT CHAD MIELKE
Chad Mielke, a former civil engineer, founded Peace Power in 2012 after noticing market inefficiencies in the service and price for residential and commercial energy. Chad is actively involved in the Alberta business community, including being a proud member of the Grande Prairie and Edmonton Chambers of Commerce, and T.E.C. Canada. He has a passion for the people of Alberta and loves giving back to the communities that have given him so much support over the years.

- The internet, electricity and natural gas going to your home or business will continue to be provided as it is today by your existing internet provider or energy distribution company. Alberta’s deregulation policy requires all utility distribution companies (For Example: FortisAlberta, EPCOR, ATCO Electric, ATCO Gas, and ENMAX) to continue to provide utility distribution, energy meter reading and delivery services, regardless of who you select as a retailer.in
